Tablet POS systems are all the rage right now, however most software companies want you to buy a subscription and maybe even use one credit card provider that pays them a commission. Tablet POS systems are the hot item in the industry right now

The trend in the POS industry is going with tablets like the iPad or an Android tablet. I think the jury is still out on whether this trend will be sustained or not, however it is currently a hot market in Seattle.

There are a couple problems that arise with some Tablet POS systems we have come across and even replaced with a more traditional POS system like Digital Dining or a SAM4s cash register. The problem in most every case is because the majority of Tablet systems seem to be cloud based instead of being in-house. Being cloud based has pros and cons and you need to decide what is important for you.

I personally recently went to a small cup cake bakery to buy cupcakes for my children. The bakery had a very nice looking Tablet POS system, however I don't know the brand they were using. During check out their internet connection was lost and they could not accept my credit card payment. I offered cash for payment but because the cloud was not available this cloud based tablet POS system could not even open the drawer to accept cash and make change. A good cash register for fireworks stand

The SAM4s ER-285M is a great cash register for firework stand especially when you pair it with an Mbox credit card interface. The ER-285M can be equipped with a bar code scanner as well as the credit card interface. This will allow you to pre-program all of your fireworks into the cash register for speed and accuracy. Combine that with the Mbox credit card interface which is wireless and supports multiple cash registers. When you attach the Mbox you make transactions even faster and with fewer or no errors.

SAM4s cash register keyboard templates

When a someone buys a SAM4s cash register from us we provide them with a keyboard template, which allows them to edit and reprint custom keyboard whenever they would like. When you have you own template you know longer need to be at the mercy of a dealer.

We have a few SAM4s keyboard templates available for download. I always recommend that you print a blank keyboard and make sure it fits before you invest a lot of time filling in every button to find out your printer scaled it to fir a page or something like that.
