Don't fall for the Cloud Based POS systems like Clover from First Data

There is not a week that goes by that we don't talk to someone or maybe several people trying to get rid of their Clover POS system. We often ask ourselves why would someone lock themselves into a three year deal for POS and merchant services. If the Clover was so great why are they locking people into a three year contact? Take a look at the website about people unhappy and trying to get away from First Data and Clover

First your total cost of ownership is normally lower with a purchased system rather than a system you pay for monthly. Not only that but once you have locked yourself into paying First Data for three years you are also required to process credit cards with them as well. Now come on we are all business people here, do you really think once you are tied into a three year deal that they are going to go easy on you with merchant services rates? Do you really think that after you figure out you are getting taken to the cleaners by your bank they are going to renegotiate your agreement for the last two years? Sorry that is not very likely.

We have spoken to countless people that are having such a bad experience with Clover that they stopped banking with the bank that told them to use Clover and First Data.

Do yourself a favor and buy a POS system where you will be able to use any merchant services you want. I have been in the business for nearly thirty years and have clients that change merchant services every couple years. Those that don't switch have the leverage to at least work a better deal with their existing merchant services if they have the flexibility to switch processors.

Come by our office in the Seattle Tacoma area and we can show you several different POS systems from simple to sophisticated and we will never lock you in a contract because we sell the equipment and give your freedom to select the best merchant services for yourself.
